Odey Asset Management LLP was founded in 1991 by
Crispin Odey to focus on absolute returns at a time when
most fund managers were embracing index relative
returns. Assets under management totalled $5bn at the
end of April 2010.
Critical of the deskilling effects of indexation, the Odey
team was determined to keep asset allocation at the heart
of the investment process.
Odey Wealth Management was launched in 2008 to
manage portfolios for clients by combining these proven
asset allocation skills with the portfolio construction
expertise of the Guernsey Team.
Odey remains independent and partner-owned
and, 18 years after launch, the focus continues to be
performance and not asset gathering.
